Ingalls is pleased to welcome Abed Dehnee, M.D., to its Medical Staff and Family Care Center in Tinley Park.

A fellowship-trained interventional cardiologist, Dr. Dehnee specializes in all aspects of cardiology, with particular interest in fractional flow reserve (FFR), a guide wire-based procedure that accurately measures blood pressure and flow through a specific part of the coronary artery. FFR is done through a catheter at the time of an angiogram and is useful in assessing whether or not to perform angioplasty or stenting on intermediate blockages. Dr. Dehnee has published three articles on this innovative procedure. He also is interested in the treatment of peripheral vascular disease.

Dr. Dehnee received his medical degree from the Damascus University School of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, where he also completed a cardiology fellowship. Dr. Dehnee went on to complete an interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

Dr. Dehnee is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (Cardiovascular Disease) and also holds certifications in Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography, and certified by ARDMS for Peripheral Vascular Interpretation.

When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Dehnee enjoys playing volleyball, table tennis and racquetball.
