Two local JC Penney managers win national honors for store performance
Two local JC Penney managers received national recognition this month for outstanding sales performance for 2010.
Kim Gignac, a Frankfort resident and manager of the Mokena JC Penney hair salon, and Glenda Staley, of Mokena, who manages the Sephora Inside JC Penney, were awarded the company’s Champions status at an in-store celebration on Monday, Feb. 28.
JC Penney’s Champions award recognizes any department managers nationwide who achieve superior sales performance, profit and world class customer service. As part of the recognition, the two women have been awarded a trip to San Diego in April to attend the company’s national awards recognition event. The Mokena JC Penney is the only company store in the United States to send both its Salon and Sephora department managers.
“Kim and Glenda’s leadership and motivation led to their fantastic sales and customer service results for 2010, said Julie Lundstedt Store Manger. “I am extremely proud of Kim, Glenda and their Teams for delivering results that were worthy of capturing the Champions Award. Every customer who walks into our store experiences great service, trendy merchandise and a warm and caring smile from all our associates.”
The JC Penney Salon currently has a team of 14 stylists and 2 receptionists who provide a full range of hair care, hair products, as well as manicures, pedicures and waxing services.
The in-store Sephora offers an exclusive line of beauty products, including cosmetics, skincare and accessories, as well as 9 beauty consultants to offer free 10 minute express makeup services. Both departments are open seven days a week and offer services to walk-in customers or those wanting appointments.
