The music is in the air, or at least it will be this summer, as the Mokena Community Park District's Concerts in the Park series kicks off June 10 at Main Park. The first of the summer-long series of concerts will feature The Walk-ins, “a harmony driven cover/original band from Chicago’s south suburbs,” according to the band's website.
The Walk-ins will hit the stage at 7 p.m. for their set, which will see the band perform music from the '50s through present day hits. Concessions will be available for purchase during the show and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets on which to enjoy the free show.
The concert series, which is sponsored by Kelly Nissan, will continue on with Arts Alive! Jazz Band on Sunday, July 8. For more information about the series, visit the park district's website.
