Man charged with hit and run; he didn't get far
Joseph A. Molina, 23, Tinley Park, was charged with DUI and hit-and-run after hitting a car in a parking lot in the 18700 block of Old LaGrange Road. According to the report, Molina was pulling out of the parking lot when he struck another vehicle and attempted to drive off. Police said Molina's car had severe front end damage and the airbags had been deployed. He was ticketed for DUI, hit and run and for operating an uninsured vehicle.

ComEd truck damages property while working
Police say a staff member from the Frankfort-based Olivieri Brothers Architects, complained that a ComEd truck working around company property of at 19651 S. LaGrange Road, drove over the grass on a parcel behind the building, causing an undetermined amount of damage.

Ticketed for speeding
Miguel Alcala, 29, Chicago, was stopped for speeding in the 1600 block of Francis Road. According to the report, he was driving 44 mph in a 30 mph zone. He was also cited for not having a valid driver's license. He posted a $1,500 I-Bond and was released.

Crown Royal whiskey caper at CVS; all that's left is an empty box
A man with a penchant for Crown Royal whiskey reportedly hit CVS Pharmacy, 19900 S. LaGrange Road, three times in a week. The manager at CVS told police that a man who'd just left the store had gone into the storeroom and stolen a bottle of $40 Crown Royal whiskey. All that was left behind was the empty box.
According to the report, the same man had been in the store two times that same week, and the result was the same. The latest incident, however, was captured on the store's surveillance cameras. The man is seen entering the storeroom. Once behind the doors, there are no cameras.
All total, $120 worthy of 80-proof whiskey was stolen in a week. Police are investigating the matter.
SUNDAY, DEC. 16
Teen drives into a guardrail and drives off
A 17-year-old teen from the 11300 block of 193rd Street lost control of a pickup truck and struck a guardrail at 104th Avenue and W. 191st Street. Police say they got a call shortly after 2 a.m. by someone who noticed a car with heavy front end damage on 193rd Street.
According the report, police arrived to find the vehicle in the driveway at Fenn's home. The hood was "warm to the touch," and the teen's breath smelled of alcohol. At first the teen denied having been in an accident, but then admitted it. He was ticketed for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol and failure to notify police of damage. He was additionally cited for not having a valid driver's license and for driving too fast for conditions.
Police also arrested the pickup truck's passenger, 17-year-old Frankfort teen for underage consumption of alcohol. The Mokena teen was released into the custody of his grandfather, and the Frankfort teen posted an I-Bond.
