A fashion update doesn't mean a trip to the mall, not with a variety of shops to check out in the Lincoln-Way area. Here's a quick list to get you started.

Fringe Boutique, 20529 South LaGrange Road, Frankfort
Looking to add a little flair to your wardrobe? Fringe Boutique offers a wide selection of upscale and trend-setting styles for girls and women. Check out the store's Facebook page for photo galleries that show off what's available as well as glimpses of past fashion shows.
My Sisters and Me Boutique, 1 North White St, Frankfort
Mys Sisters and Me has been in Frankfort since 2000, but the shop is still a newcomer to its White Street location. The family-owned boutique specializes in women's clothing from sizes o to 20 and also offers a selection of accessories and shoes. And guys don't need to feel left out: My Sisters and Me provides tuxedo rentals, something to think about as prom season approaches.
Cedar Closet Boutique, 1264 N. Cedar R0ad, New Lenox
Cedar Closet is an upscale resale store run by Michelle Hepburn, who has created a place to find all sorts of neat treasures. The store focuses on offering items of a high quality, without charging high prices. Among its offerings: blouses, jeans, dresses, jewlery, home decor, antiques and purses. Much of the clothing carries designer labels.
Pink Slip Boutique, 18907 Wolf Road, Mokena
Pink Slip Boutique offers a wide variety of girls' and women's dresses designed for special occasions, including cocktail parties, proms and homecoming dances. Dresses come in a range of prices and sizes, and the store's staff members are happy to help with fittings. In November, the store collected donations to help brides who lost dresses in the fire at Eva's Bridals in Oak Lawn.
Avalanche Jewelery, 11020 Front St., Mokena
Avalanche Jewelry in downtown Mokena sells custom jewelry, offers jewelry repair and sometimes buys pieces from customers. Avalanche will work with customers to design the perfect piece, or suggest from items on display in the store's numerous cases.
