Help Us Pick the Golf Course with the Most Unique Holes
Some golf courses are unforgettable—the holes leave a lasting impression on each golfer that steps up to the tee. Which courses offer the most unique holes in the Southland?
For avid golfers who hit a lot of links, courses might all start to blur together. Some designers clearly took more time to craft their course—a challenging dogleg, a par 4 you can reach from the tee. Or the first shot off the tee, that leads you to the next shot over a gorgeous lake into a narrow green with bunkers behind it. The unique holes, they stand out. The view from the fairway takes your breath away.
Some of the nation's most famous holes—like the seventh at Pebble Beach—are set against a backdrop unlike any other, like a rocky outcropping over the Pacific Ocean. Others expect the golfer to shoot their ball over a maintenance shed and dodge brutal bunkers (17th at St. Andrew in Scotland).
Southland courses come with their own style and design, and we want to know which course offers the most unique holes in the area.
