Man Caught with Pot, Pipe and Grinder: Mokena Police Blotter

Mokena Police Department reports, Dec. 25-29 • Christmas Day Theft • Man Arrested for Arkansas Warrant • Man Caught with Pot, Pipe and Grinder.

 

TUESDAY, DEC. 25

Christmas Day Theft

Two 20-pound propane tanks were stolen at 8:36 p.m. from the 11000 block of Third Street. Each tank was estimated to be worth $50.

THURSDAY, DEC. 27

Man Arrested for Arkansas Warrant

Steven A. McKinney, 28, of the 14400 block of W. St. Louis Avenue in Midlothian, was taken into custody on an out of state warrant from Arkansas for parole violation at 4:16 p.m. at the intersection of W. La Porte Road and Lakeview Way.

SATURDAY, DEC. 29

Man Caught with Pot, Pipe and Grinder

Ryan M. Pierie, 21, of the 20400 block of Ashford Circle, was arrested for possession of less than 30 grams of cannabis and possession of drug equipment at 12:57 p.m. at the intersection of Swinford Court and Swinford Lane.

Pierie was arrested after an officer spotted a car parked with the light on and went to investigate the situation. Pierie, a passenger, had a bottle sitting next to his leg that contained 2.6 grams of cannabis. He also admitted to having a pipe and grinder in his pocket. He was released on bond. His court date is Feb. 8.
