Mokena Police Blotter: DUI of Drugs Crash
Mokena police reports, Feb 12-19
SUNDAY, FEB. 19
Laura C. Quillinan, 31, of the 11900 block of Kildare Avenue in Alsip was charged with domestic battery. Several witnesses told police that Quillinan struck a woman in the face following an argument inside a home in the 11000 block of 191st Street around 9:30 p.m. over a dog.
THURSDAY, FEB. 16
DUI of Drugs
Denae L. Boban, 28, of the 0-100 block of Cherry Hill Road in Joliet was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, failure to reduce speed to avoid accident, possession of drug paraphernalia and property damage. Police said Boban lost control of her car at Francis Road and Breckenridge Drive, striking a tree and stopping in a ditch, shortly after midnight. Boban reportedly told police and paramedics she had mixed alcohol and pills before getting behind the wheel. She refused, however, to give blood or urine samples at Silver Cross Hospital. Police said they found a pipe in her pocket.
MONDAY, FEB. 12
Nicholas M. Dehaan, 17, of the 11100 block of Revere Drive in Mokena and Tyler A. Stirn, 19, of the 18400 block of Zurich Lane in Tinley Park were charged with resisting arrest, illegal consumption of alcohol and burglary from motor vehicle. Police said the men were seen opening car doors near Leetrim Court and Scarth Lane around 4 a.m. and ran from responding officers.
Stirn had an outstanding Will County warrant for his arrest for failure to appear in court, police said.
