Cop Slapped With Hanger in Motel Dispute

Krystal C. James, 24, of the 3800 block of Grand Avenue in Chicago, was charged with aggravated battery to a police officer. Police said they were called to the Super 8 Motel shortly after midnight and found a man pinning James to a bed on the second floor, complaining that she was drunk and “out of control.” Once released, James allegedly “put her hand in the face” of one officer and during questioning threw a plastic clothes hanger, striking another officer just below the eye.

Man Threatened With Dog Leash in Double Domestic

Police said a Mokena man and Wilmington woman were each charged with domestic battery following a drunken fight. Officers responded to the 10100 block of Kirkstone Way Court around 4:15 a.m. and got conflicting explanations about the cuts on each's head and arms. She said he head-butted her. He said she came after him with a metal dog leash.

However the fight started, officers determined that the each was responsible for harming the another. He was arrested, while she was taken to Silver Cross Hospital requesting medical treatment and later arrested.

Stolen Snow Gear

Three snow plow blades were reported stolen from an industrial park in the 19200 block of Blackhawk Parkway over the preceding night. The owner said his trucks had been left unlocked and noted that the gear shifter on one truck was broken after someone backed it up several feet. Security footage from a neighboring office might shed light on the theft, police said.
