Mokena Residents See Savings From Electric Aggregation

Participating residents are on track to save hundreds of dollars due to the village electric aggregation program.

Mokena residents participating in the village’s electric aggregation program are on track to save hundreds of dollars on electricity in 2013, according to a press release from the Village of Mokena.

Four months into the program, resident participants are saving more than $34 per month. The average participating household is on track to reach savings above $400 in the program’s first full year.

Program participants in Mokena pay approximately $.05 per kilowatt hour. Integrys Energy Services, Inc., with whom the village has a 21-month contract, provides electricity for participating residents.
