In voting for Southland Patch's MVP for Nov. 5-11, who gets the biggest roar from the crowd?
Oak Forest's Corey Brent intercepted a pass to stop a first-half Lemont drive during the Bengals' 21-14 loss to the Indians in the Class 6A playoffs. Brent also was a special teams standout during a 10-2 run for the Bengals.
Mother McAuley's Ryann DeJarld had eight kills and eight digs in a straight-sets victory over Libertyville on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at the Class 4A state tournament in Normal. DeJarld and the Mighty Macs returned home with a third-place finish in the tourney.
Lincoln-Way East's Tom Fuessel rushed for more than 250 yards and three touchdowns in the Griffins' 40-10 football victory over Edwardsville in the Class 7A quarterfinals.
