Minor Drinking and Ducking
Tyler A. Stirn, 19, of the 10900 block of First Street in Mokena, was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. Police were dispatched to Stirn’s house around 2:30 a.m. about a domestic dispute and found him hiding under a car in the driveway. He failed a Breathalyzer exam, according to the report.

High-Heeled Sobriety Tests
Michele R. Mangiliman, 32, of the 12300 block of Warren Drive in Mokena, was charged with driving under the influence, failure to signal and improper lane usage. Police said they stopped Mangiliman’s car at Carpenter Street and School House Road around 2 a.m. for turning left without a signal and drifting the full length of a tire between lanes. After officers smelled alcohol, Mangiliman agreed to take field sobriety tests in high heels and failed, police said.
A small console television was reported stolen from a white 2003 Chevy van parked in the 18700 block of LaGrange Road sometime between 8 and 10 p.m. Police said they found a large flathead screw driver in the van that may have been used to break the van’s locks. The television is worth $100, according to the report.
