Report: Frankfort's Singer to Announce County Executive Candidacy
County Forest Preserve president will announce his intention to run for the post Thursday in New Lenox, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Will County Forest Preserve President Cory Singer (R-Frankfort) will announce his run for county executive Thursday, according to a story by the Chicago Sun-Times.
Singer, who has served on the Will County Board since 2002, is holding an “announcement rally” Thursday at Gatto’s Restaurant in New Lenox, the Sun-Times reported.
According to the report, Singer will try to be the Republican candidate to face Democrat Larry Walsh, who has been Will County Executive since 2004.
