What's your review of the sausage and peppers at Mariano's?

Mariano's Fresh Market, which opened earlier this month in Frankfort, is known for offering a wide selection of hot and prepared foods.

So we want to know -- does the hot line live up to the hype?

We want your review of the grocery store's sausage and peppers. What's the verdict, Patch readers? Does this hot line item warrant a "yuck" or a "yum?"

I haven't tried the sausage and peppers yet but I have tried the fried chicken as well as the hot wings - it was great! So glad what Mariano's has brought to Frankfort.

i have tried it twice. the first time the sausage was very dry and not good had to throw it away cuz i didn't want to drive back. the second time it was delicious. the sausage was very moist and appetizing. i think they should keep track of checking and refilling the bins with fresh food!! also you really have to watch the meat. some of it is expired in ONE DAY. i didn't realize that and had to throw away chicken, it smelled awful just one day after the expiration date (which was 2 days after i bought it). the vegetables have a short expiration date also, you really need to read all the dates on the packaged veggies. they have a very short expiry date unlike Jewels and Dominicks. I even found mold on the huge strawberries they just put out (was watching the produce man bringing out the strawberries). you need to really check over everything in this store. it is very glamorous and eye catching but beware remember you are buying food with your hard earned money, not going to see something glamorous and listen to piano music.

I wished they wouldn't sell frozen fish from China.
