SHJH 7th Grade girls win Homer Volleyball Tournament
Members of the Summit Hill Spartans are: Katie Trudeau, Sydney Marchal, Nicollete Blasgen, Kayla Collins, Hanna Lesiak, Carolyn Waleski, Cailey Lietz, Emily Ripp, Sydney Limon, Dori Frainey, Lily Hicks, Madi Corey, Catherine Slade, Amanada Logan, Lauren Hunter, and manager Grace Sheridan. The Spartans head coach is Keith McGrail and the assistant coach is Jennifer Lewis.

The Summit Hill 7th Grade Girls Volleyball Team won the 2013 Homer Mustangs 7th Grade Girls Volleyball Tournament on January 11th. The Spartans defeated Tinley Park Grissom in the first match 25-12 and 25-12. It was a 3 set victory over Bourbonnais in the second match 25-15, 20-25, and 15-10 to advance to the championship against the host school. The championship match went 3 sets as well, as Summit Hill prevailed 25-19, 14-25, and 15-10. After the first week of the season the Spartans are 5-0.
