BULLS/SOX ACADEMY HOSTS HITTING CLUB IN MOKENA

LISLE, IL. – The Bulls/Sox Academy announced today that it will be hosting two White Sox Hitting Clubs at Lincoln Way East High School Field House at 201 Colorado Avenue in Mokena.

The White Sox Hitting Club will detail the absolutes of hitting as taught to the White Sox players by the White Sox coaches. Professional Bulls/Sox Academy instructors will focus on plate coverage and stance, striding into a hitting position, swing plane/hand path, footwork and balance. If you are truly serious about becoming the best player you can be…this is the place for you. 

Enrollment is limited and is open to boys and girls, six to eleven. The first Hitting Club will start on Monday, February 11th and will run until March 4th. Session one for six to eight year olds will be from 6:30pm-7:45pm, immediately followed by Session two for nine to eleven year olds from 7:45-9:00pm. The cost is only $103.00 per athlete.

The Bulls/Sox Academy opened in 2001 in Lisle, Illinois and runs extensive training programs for boys and girls from beginner to professional. Lincoln-Way East, located in Frankfort, has been serving Mokena and Frankfort residents since 2000. With a large student population, East has a variety of resources, academic departments and extracurricular activities, such as writing and performing arts centers, pre-professional programs and more than 70 clubs. The athletics department boasts an array of sports teams, from baseball to badminton.

The school is one of four high schools in Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210, founded in 1954. The district has a history of high academic and athletic achievement. In 2009, it boasted two National Merit Scholarship semi-finalists and has outranked the state and the nation in SAT score averages for the past five years.
