Farm and Barn Fest

This unique event gives all ages the opportunity to see and experience farm life through entertaining demonstrations such as sheep shearing, blacksmithing, corn grinding, woodworking and more as well as hands on experience of farming from 10am-5pm. Free admission and free parking! A large spread of food from local restaurants will catch the taste buds of festival goers, while entertained with music, dancing and old fashioned contests.
The 5th Annual Quilt Show and Flea Market will also be held in conjunction with the fest at The Oaks Recreation & Fitness Center.
Attention country and bluegrass lovers! Join us for a night of rockin’ fun from 5pm-11pm with opening bands; 'Iron Skillet Breakfast' and 'Linzy & Coax' followed by featured band, HILLBILLY ROCKSTARZ. Alcohol, beer and wine are available for purchase. $3/entry for adults 21 and over. Children are allowed at no charge with parental supervision only.

More About Yunker Park
Yunker is actually two parks, with The Oaks Fitness Center, disc golf course and walking trail on the south end, and Yunker Homestead, one of Mokena's most iconic landmarks, to the north. The farm dates back to the 1800s and is on the National Register of Historic Places, and is currently used by the Mokena Community Park District for events.
