St. John's UCC is hosting a Scholastic/seasonal book fair from Mon. Nov. 26-Sat. Dec. 1. The hours of the sale on weekdays is from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. On Friday, Nov. 30 there are evening hours 5:30 - 7:30 pm and on Saturday, Dec. 1 sale hours are 11:00 am - 1:30 pm.

The fair will be held in the Fellowship Hall located in the lower level of the church. The book fair will feature popular children's books like: The Hunger Games, Captain Underpants, Fancy Nancy and much more.
The church is also proud to announce that they will be selling a wide selection of religious books brought to you by the Cokesbury Company. In addition to these books, St. John's will be featuring our very own author, Edith Ivie. Pick up a copy of this insightful book Through Joanna's Eyes. Also, look for a wonderful book entitled Questions Kids Ask about God written by David Hedlin,pastor at Peace Lutheran Church in New Lenox.

More About St. John's United Church of Christ
St. John's is one of Mokena's oldest churches, with a building dating back to 1922 and a congregation dating back to the days of the Civil War. It currently has two Sunday worship times, a traditional service at 8am and a family service at 9:30am. The congregation is quite active and involved in mission trips, children's and youth ministries, Bible study groups and music programs. Nearby is the Christian Community Center, where some services and sports activities meet. The church also houses a preschool.
