Frankfort Tobacco Sellers Facing Steeper Fees
The cost of selling tobacco in Frankfort is going to get a bit pricier.
Tobacco sellers are going to be paying more for the right to push nicotine in the Village of Frankfort.
The village board accepted a recommendation to raise the licensing fees for the two classes of tobacco sellers.
The license fee for "accessory tobacco sales" is going from $100 to $200. The license for a "full tobacco store" is going from $100 to $500.
"We were sort of behind the curve in having a fee structure," Trustee Todd Morgan said during Monday night's village board meeting.
