Kelly Fox and Bridget Guzior were looking for a way to support other women.
The co-owners of Jean Therapy in Orland Park decided to use their business’ namesake product.
“Everyone has an extra pair of jeans they can get rid of,” said Fox. “That’s why we’ll be collecting them throughout the month for Crisis Center. It’s a great organization that offers a lot of services.”
People who bring in a pair of jeans to the store throughout October will get $15 off a purchase, and the jeans will all be donated to the Crisis Center of South Suburbia. The non-profit supporting battered women and families in need runs the Neat Repeats resale store, where the donated jeans will be sold.
To kick off the jean drive, Jean Therapy will be holding a party 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the store, located at 14360 S. LaGrange Road in the Miroballi Plaza. Champagne and chocolates will be served.
“This is women helping other women in need,” Guzior said. “No one has to purchase anything to attend the party.”
