The Silver Cross Foundation raised $115,000 at the 23rd Annual Charity Golf Classic. Held at the historic Midlothian Country Club on June 23, 2014, over 200 golfers came out to support Silver Cross Hospital. Proceeds will be used to support rehabilitation services at the new hospital.

Among the many donors this year’s Banner Booster sponsors were Block Electric, EM Strategies, First Midwest Bank, HSA PrimeCare, Kurtz Ambulance Service, and the Silver Cross Medical Staff.

Advancing Human Ability

Since 2010, Silver Cross has partnered with The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) to provide physical medicine and rehabilitation services for a range of conditions for patients close to home.  RIC is world-renowned for both its clinical excellence as demonstrated by its ranking as the “#1 Rehabilitation Hospital in America” by U.S. News & World Report every year since 1991, as well as its innovative research programs in the areas of neural engineering, bionic medicine and robotics. The same focused, specialized care that has earned RIC its pre-eminent reputation in advancing human ability is available at Silver Cross offering Inpatient Adult Rehabilitation, Occupational Therapy, Outpatient Adult Rehabilitation, Outpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Women’s Health Rehabilitation.  Patients who have had significant function loss and require daily physician oversight, intense therapy, and 24-hour rehabilitation nursing care due to stroke, spinal cord injury or other debilitating disease or illness are cared for in Silver Cross’ 24-bed inpatient unit at I-355 and Route 6 in New Lenox.  Patients needing outpatient rehabilitation are cared for at one of the Silver Cross’ four locations:  Pavilion A at the Hospital, on Route 30 in New Lenox, Homer Glen and West Joliet.  For more information about RIC at Silver Cross, call (815) 300-7110 or visit www.silvercross.org.
