1. After blow-drying long hair for that "evening out” look, take 2-inch sections and a small brush or comb to lightly tease the hair from underneath. Lightly spray the base of each section before smoothing and finishing.  Hair will stay fuller longer, even when the humidity is high!

2. The new Keratin straighteners (be careful which one your salon uses, there are differences) are perfect for summer. They get the hair just smooth enough without looking "board straight.” Immediately after the treatment, your hair has great shine and moves without a stiff look. In addition, your hair blow-dries in a third of the normal time after the protein straightener is used.

3. Ask your stylist what products to use this time of year.  Professional products will help keep your hair looking soft and shiny and keep the frizz away. Your stylist will know which product will be best for the look you are trying to achieve.

4. If your hair just doesn't stay looking the way you want it to when it’s humid, and you’re going to a wedding or other special occasion, get your hair put into a soft up-do.  There are some beautiful, simple up-sweep styles that keep you looking fresh, and they are well worth the money for a carefree, gorgeous look all night long!

5. If your hair is naturally curly and it frizzes, before you go out for the evening, re-damp your hair with water or a light leave in conditioner, lightly scrunch with your hands and wait for it to dry.  Curly hair dries prettier the second time it is dampened, so don't rewash it to go out at night.  Just slightly re-wet it!

6. Hot Summer Trend!! Incorporate plaits or soft braids into your look.  They are perfect for both daytime and nighttime looks, and they can work on most any length hair.
