Man Accused of Selling Drugs Also in Dispute Over Fence for Autistic Child

A Mokena family wants to keep a fence built to stop their 7-year-old autistic son from running out of their yard, but a requirement might prevent them from keeping the fence.

Sean and Lisa Flynn built a fence around their Mokena home to make sure their 7-year-old son Brock doesn’t run off.

The autistic child has a tendency to keep running once he gets started, according to a CBS Chicago report.

But a 25-foot section of the fence goes over a conservation easement, and a homeowners’ covenant forbids building permanent structures on it, according to the report. A neighbor objected to the fence and the Oaks of Mokena Homeowners Association contacted them about it.

Since then, details about fence exchanges have been disputed on both sides. According to CBS, 82 Mokena residents would have to agree to let the Flynns keep the section of fence up on the easement.

Sean Flynn was recently charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance after police said he was selling oxycodone and hydromorphone, two pain medications considered narcotics.
