Mokena Park District Awarded $1,440 Grant for Farm and Barn Fest

The Chicago Southland Visitors Bureau recently awarded the Mokena Park District with a $1,440 grant to help promote the Farm and Barn Fest.

The 10th Annual Farm & Barn Fest will be held Saturday, Aug. 16 at Yunker Farm. The event provides the opportunity to see and experience farm life through demonstrations. The fest also features music, dancing and old fashioned contests. There will also be a Country Concert and the 7th Annual Quilt Show and Flea Market. The grant will cover 60 percent of radio spots on WCCQ, an E-blast on NBCChicago.com and Facebook advertising. Twenty percent of Facebook advertising will target people who like quilt shows.
