Pro-EDC Concert Petition Being Distributed

The excessive noise level from the three-day concert May 24-26 by Electric Daisy Carnival at Chicagoland Speedway may have spawned a "Joliet City Council: Stop the EDC Concerts,"  but a counter petition is circulating as well.

This one was started by Kevin Griffin Jr., of Lockport. It's titled:  Joliet City Council: Keep bringing back EDC.

His petition can also be found on Change.org. The petition states: EDC Chicago took place this weekend at the Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet. The event led to sold out hotels and tons of money being brought into the Joliet area. On top of that Joliet now has the prestige of hosting a world-class event that also took place in London, New York and Las Vegas this year.

There were very few problems of any sort at this event that was attended by over 30,000 people.
Did you attend? Did your business profit from EDC being in Joliet? Do you want it back? Sign this petition to let the Joliet City Council know that the complainers are not the majority and that Joliet residents and those from the Chicagoland area want EDC back for many years to come!

As of 11 p.m. May 28, Griffin had 239 supporters. He needs 261 to reach his goal of 500. The anti-concert petition, which was started by Amber Cox, has attracted 209 supporters. She needs another 291 to reach 500.
