The 58th Annual Mokena Lions Pancake Breakfast Fed Tummies and Smiles

Mokena Lions Club members served up stacks of pancakes to more than 400 hungry residents at the 58th Annual Mokena Lions Pancake Breakfast.

The Mokena Lions Club served up 435-plus meals and poured gallons of coffee and juice Sunday at the 58th Annual Mokena Lions Pancake Breakfast.

The breakfast, which this year was at Mokena Elementary School, is a tradition that grows more popular every year. For only $5 for adults and $2 for kids, breakfast-goers got a stack of pancakes and sausage. The yellow-vested members of the Lions Club stayed true to their service commitment. But instead of collecting eyeglasses, they flipped pancakes, poured gallons of coffee and juice.

But that's not all, they greeted familiar faces and welcomed newcomers with wide smiles and cheery conversation.
