Comcast SportsNet's 'Beer Money' to Film in Joliet

The Chicago sports trivia show will film at McBride's on 52 at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 5.

You think you know your Chicago sports?

Head over to McBride's on 52, 2727 W. Jefferson St., on Thursday for your chance to be on Comcast SportNet's "Beer Money" trivia show — and maybe win some cash while you're at it.

Owner Tracy Stary said the show will be taping at the Joliet bar and restaurant from 5 to 7 p.m. She urged patrons to arrive early for their best chance at being on the show.

Presented by Coors Light and hosted by CNS's Luke Stuckmeyer and Jen Lada, "Beer Money" hits the road each week, stopping at bars in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs to test fans on their local sports knowledge.

From the CSN website:

"Here’s how it works: Fans take a shot at answering three trivia questions that could win them a total of up to $130. However, if they get one question wrong, they walk away with nothing! In addition to the three trivia questions segment of "Beer Money," other games within the show include 'Clues for Brews' (participant is given five clues to guess the name of a Chicago past/present sports figure; money starts at $100 and goes down by increments of $20 for each additional clue needed) and 'Beer Run' (a timed game where the participant needs to name as many correct answers in the category; each correct answer earns the participant $10)."

The show premiered May 4 and airs Sundays at 7 p.m.

Stary said CSN has not yet announced an air date for the McBride's episode. Fans can check out the "Beer Money" website for information on upcoming filming locations.
