Frankfort Lions Sweepstakes Dance

In 2010, the Frankfort Lions increased their effort to serve the community. It was a stressful, yet a successful year. They provided eye exams with glasses, gave scholarships to Lincoln-Way students, bought food for seventy-eight families, supported the construction of a wheel chair ramp for a senior, and donated to many more causes.  Catastrophes like the Japan tsunami, and the Joplin tornado saw them sending money out of the community to assist people in greater need.

The Frankfort Lions Club Charities Account is depleted, and the club needs help from the community. Please respond generously to their appeal.  The club’s premier fundraiser is the 30th Annual Charities Sweepstakes and Dance on September 1, 2011. The first prize is $10,000 with six additional prizes totaling $3150. A ticket costs twenty dollars for a chance to win, and provides entry for two people to the dance at the Fall Festival Beer Tent on Kansas and Oak Streets. If you were at the dance last year, you know The Neverly Brothers are a dynamic and entertaining group.  The price of a ticket is worth coming to see them perform. Only 2000 tickets will be sold, thus making the odds for winning very appealing.

Sweepstakes tickets may be bought from Frankfort Lions, or by calling Lion Jan at 815-469-2773, or from businesses displaying the distinctive green sign. Visit the website for a list of establishments that are supporting our appeal.
