Lincoln-Way East Madrigal Tickets On Sale Nov. 13

Tickets to the 10th annual Lincoln-Way East High School Madrigal Dinner will go on sale to the public Nov. 13.

Tickets are $28 each and may be purchased in the lobby of the school's auditorium, 201 Colorado Ave., Frankfort, from 9 a.m. until noon.

Performances are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Dec. 8, 9, 10 and 11, with seating beginning at 6 p.m. A matinee also is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Dec. 11. Seating to that performance will begin at 11 a.m.

"Patrons are encouraged to come to the public sale on Saturday, Nov. 13, to choose their seats," said choral director Alysia Lambert, who orchestrates the annual dinners. "After that date, the tickets will be chosen by the ticket committee according to best availability."

Tickets to the Renaissance-style Madrigal Dinners tend to sell out fast – especially to the Friday and Saturday evening performances – so patrons are asked to have a second choice in mind when purchasing tickets. No telephone orders will be accepted during the public ticket sale on Nov. 13.

If any tickets are still available after the public sale, they will be made available for purchase through the school's main office beginning Nov. 15.

The office will be open from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Order forms may be downloaded from the music department's website at www.lwemusic.org<http://www.lwemusic.org.

This will be the school's 10th annual Madrigal Dinner, featuring a full course meal (catered by Enrico's Italian Dining), musical entertainment and elaborate costumes.

More than 70 students are involved in the elaborate production, including the talented Madrigal Singers, Madrigal Ladies, Troubadours, Madrigal Brass, Actors and Flutes.

"The Madrigal Dinner is all you could want from an evening of entertainment," said Lambert. "It offers outstanding vocal and instrumental music, a storyline acted by talented students, fellowship with friends and family and a delicious meal -- all provided in an ambiance that is second-to-none,."

The Madrigal singers and instrumentalists were selected through a competitive audition process last spring and began rehearsals before the start of the 2010-2011 school year.

Membership in the ensembles requires a high level of commitment, said Lambert, because the activities are all extracurricular.
