Students Going Places with Help from Target, Forest Preserve District

Teachers working at any of the K-12 schools in Will County are invited to apply for a field trip grant.

Target stores have partnered with the Forest Preserve Dist. of Will County to promote an awesome enrichment experience opportunity. Target is awarding three field trip grants per store to send a K-12 class on a trip to glean authentic insights in the realm of the arts, science, environmental initiatives, community outreach or civic projects.

Applications for grants up to $700 are being accepted until Oct. 1. Teachers are limited to one grant submission.

Past recipients of the Target grant included Carl Sandburg Elementary School in Joliet and Oak Prairie Junior High School in Homer Glen, according to the Forest Preserve Dist. of Will County website.
