Mokena Community Business Expo & Health Fair

Mokena Community Park District will be hosting the Business Expo.

The Mokena Chamber of Commerce Community Business Expo & Health Fair will have vendors galore.

The event, planned from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 23 at 10847 LaPorte Road, is featuring a variety of vendors and offers an opportunity to showcase the many businesses in and around the Lincoln-Way communities.

While food vendors and specialty shops will have their wares on display, the event is also a health fair. Medical facilities and related organizations are expected to be on-hand to assist event-goers with their needs.

Chamber Administrator Gail Bastas described the expo as a place where "local businesses will showcase their services and products."

At the same time, the community business expo & health fair offers free health screenings and demonstrations. It's going to be a fun day for everyone, she said.

There's entertainment planned as well. The Lincoln-Way East Madrigal Singers will perform at 10 a.m. and again at 11 a.m. The Family Martial Arts, 8500 W. 191st St., will demonstrate their finesse at noon.

"It's absolutely free, and everyone is invited," said Bastas. There are a few slots open for vendors. For information, call 708-479-2468 or go to the Mokena Chamber of Commerce website
