VOTE: Who's the Most-Trusted Veterinarian in the Southland?

Don't miss the opportunity to vote for who you feel is the BEST veterinarian in your community or a surrounding town. Your preferred vet or clinic could be named the best veterinarian in the Southland!

When it comes to your pets, you're not about to trust just anyone with their care.

The relationship between Fido and his doc is a tricky one, and once you find the right fit, you're loyal clients. Pet parents never know when an emergency might arise, and it's nice to know where to turn.

That's why we, at Patch, look to YOU.

So we want to know—Who's your preferred veterinarian in the Southland?

VOTE: Readers nominated the options below. To cast your vote, select an option in the poll at the bottom of the article. Also make sure to tell us why you picked your favorite in the comments.

To vote, you must be logged in to your free Patch account. Don't have one? Click "Join" in the upper right corner. The winner will be determined by poll votes only, not reviews or comments.

Voting ends Aug. 17.

Agreed. Glensted is the best! I see that they have been left off the ballot again. For shame.

Samson the Siberian Husky loves going to LePar and so did both of our previous pets. LePar gets our vote.

Dr.Attig of Orland Small Animal Clinic is absolutely wonderful with pets. She is calming and sympathetic, rational and accurate. After having been through so many vets over the years, my vote is for Dr. Attig.
Marian Cunningham August 02, 2012 at 03:08 PM
I agree with Cathleen. Dr. Linda Attig of Orland Park Small Animal Clinic is the best. It's obvious that she truly loves and cares about animals. And everyone else who works there is great also.

We have been going here for over 6 years with our Maltese Bella. Dr. Bowen, Laura and his staff are so kind and wonderful. I have complete faith and confidence in him. I would highly recommend him.

You didn't mention All Pets Animal Hospital in Lockport! They are the best! They helped me get rehabilitation for my one GSD I had, pancreatis and diabetes under control for one of my other GSD Mix who also lost eye sight and directed me to Dr. Lindley to replace his lenses. I have 8 current "kids" that they currently treat!
Donna Ronald August 05, 2012 at 05:24 PM
I failed to mention that Dr. Bowen and his staff are at the Oak Village Animal Hospital in Oak Lawn.

Another one for Dr. Campbell at Glensted!! Amazing people! Excellent work.
Doug Carpenter August 06, 2012 at 05:57 PM
Where is Dr. Coyne and Midwest Animal Clinic on Wolf Road in Orland Park/Mokena?
Jerry August 06, 2012 at 06:32 PM
Just like all the other polls....if they weren't nominated in the first phase of the voting they didn't get included in this final voting phase. These contests were a great idea, but once nominations were done, the comments should have been disabled on the polling pages. People are missing the point if they didn't know about the nomination phase.

Dr. Rauch, Dr. K and Dr. Willardat Flossmoor Animal Hospital have both given my cats, Angel-Cinnamon, Peanut Butter, and Jelly Bean the best care. In fact my sister and brother both live in Chicago but bring their dogs to FAH.
Alice and Jeff Miller August 07, 2012 at 01:50 PM
Drs. Campbell and Amarati at Glensted are simply the best diagnosticians in the entire area. Their interest, compassion, and follow-up are most extraordinary. Leaving them off of your ballot makes the entire exercise a COMPLETE FRAUD! Don't waste your time.

Dr Richard Johnson in Country Club Hills takes outstanding care of our cat!
Glenn E. Wierzbicki August 08, 2012 at 02:41 AM
You forgot Dr. Coyne @ Forest South Animal hospital in University Park
Marcia August 14, 2012 at 03:03 PM
Dr. Ingmire is the best veterinarian my pets have ever been to. He truly loves his patients and is a great guy!
Katrina Powell Perez August 16, 2012 at 06:31 PM
I'm throwing my vote in for Glensted as well! They are wonderful.
Denise Du Vernay August 16, 2012 at 08:29 PM
WA Mama, Mike B, and Alice and Jeff, Glenwood is out of range of this Patch region (there's no Glenwood Patch site, and therefore no business listing) so I'm sure leaving Glensted off the ballot was not out of malice. Thanks for leaving your comments, though, as I'm sure it's helpful for readers looking for a veterinarian in that area. -Denise Du Vernay Patch contributor, blogger

Sorry...Dr. Hubert killed a family members English Bulldog! He failed to do the necessary bloodwork, warn of the possible risks of the anesthesia he was using, and lacked the necessary background to work on Bulldogs. I would never recommend this place!
RobertS August 17, 2012 at 01:41 PM
Hands down, the best veterinary care in the Southland comes from Lepar! The staff is excellent, they have a diverse staff that specializes in a wide scope of medical issues and they show genuine care when dealing with the owner and the pet. I cannot recommend them enough!
James Sylvester August 17, 2012 at 05:13 PM
Lincolnway on Rt. 30.....Super people....they will call you the day after a vist to see how your pet is doing. My own doctor will not do that!....My pet had to be put to sleep. They sent me flowers....nice people Jim Sylvester

Animal Medical Center has the best Vets I have ever been to. Very nice and explain things where you understand them. There prices are very reasonable also. Wouldnt go anywhere else.

Dr. Attig IS the best! Totally agree about how calming, sympathetic, rational & definately accurate she is. I moved to Aurora 4 years ago & will travel 55 minutes to have her take care of my dog & cat. I've gone to 4 other vets over 42 years of owning pets & have stuck with Dr. Attig for the last 20 to 22 years. Best pet care around!
