What Should Go Here: Former Mokena Home of Ed & Joe's

The pizza place came and went from the building at 199th and Wolf Road in Mokena—now the space and its two neighboring units sit empty.

The pizza pros from Ed & Joe's in Tinley Park made a go of things in a location at 199th and Wolf Road, but closed up shop in August 2011. The location was a carry-out only companion to the main location, and lasted three years before its closure.

Now all 5,200 square feet of the three-unit building at 19901 S. Wolf Road stand empty, waiting for the next ambitious small business owner.

The unit that used to house the restaurant is built to suit a similar business, but all three could be combined into one, or serve as standalone units, said realtor Kim Wirtz, of Century 21. A fire station on one side, and a bank on the other buttress the building.

The other units are buildout areas and will require some work, Wirtz said, but the owner (a bank) will compensate monetarily for the updates.

So, we want to know—what do you think should go here?
