Moraine Valley Community College Selects Andrea Ramirez-Justin, VP of Old Plank Trail Community Bank, as the Winner of their 2013 Women in Business/Leadership Award

On Tuesday, September 10, 2013, Andrea Ramirez-Justin, Vice President of Old Plank Trail Community Bank, was selected as the winner of the 2013 Women in Business/Leadership Award by Moraine Valley Community College.

Moraine Valley Community College’s Corporate Community and Continuing Education subdivision accepts nominations each year in various categories for its 2013 Business Champion Awards. This award reflects a woman of influence in business who supports the community and others and is a leading female professional who excels as a mentor, inspires, and influences others to achieve results.

“Andrea sets a wonderful example of community involvement, leadership, and serves as a strong advocate for the bank. She is very deserving of this award and I thank her for all she does,” said Paul Slade, President, Old Plank Trail Community Bank.

Ramirez-Justin earned a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Graduate School of Banking and a bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University. She is currently serving as the 2013-14 President of the Mokena Chamber of Commerce. In addition, she previously served on the Moraine Valley Community College Board of Trustees and is now a Foundation Board Member for the same organization.

The award will officially be presented to Andrea at the 19th Annual Business Champion Awards — Stars of the Southwest Suburbs — on Wednesday, November 6 at the Moraine Business and Conference Center.
