Now in its 15th

also been featured in many Chicago Tribune articles highlighting outstanding
suburban arts groups. Along with concerts throughout the winter months such as
the Orland Park Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, the Band also plays for the
Governor’s State University Commencement Ceremonies, the Evergreen Park Summer
Concert Series, and the Mokena 4th of July Concert and Fireworks, held annually
in Mokena.  The Band also continues to
play outdoor concerts in the southwest suburbs throughout the summer months.
Band members range in age from high school students to adults, and musicians
interested in joining are encouraged to sit in with the band at a weekly
rehearsal on Thursday nights at 7:00 p.m. at Mokena Junior High School in
Mokena. For information on scheduling a concert in your area or joining the
band, please call Rachel Ozark at (708) 437-7051, send an e-mail to
