Help Aurelio's Pizza Support Hope Children's Hospital October 22-27

Chicago, IL, October 3, 2012 -- Aurelio’s Pizza will be donating a percentage of proceeds for all dine-in, carry-out, delivery and online food and drink purchases chain wide that happen October 22-27 to Hope Children’s Hospital as part of its annual October fundraising campaign.

Aurelio’s Pizza has been supporting Hope Children’s Hospital in numerous ways since 1998. Traditionally, every October, Aurelio’s leads the Aurelio’s Pumpkin Project whereby customers purchase paper pumpkins for $1 to hang in Aurelio’s restaurants and other area businesses. This year, Aurelio’s has decided to raise awareness of the hospital and expand its fundraising effort by enlisting all of its customers through a donation of a percentage of sales across all locations. To gain increased awareness for the hospital and its mission, Aurelio’s will be running radio commercials and hanging posters as well as placing table tents in all of its locations. The total donation will be based on overall sales and Aurelio’s is guaranteeing a minimum donation to at least match previous year’s donations and hopes to donate much more. Through increased awareness and widespread customer support, the pizzeria chain anticipates it could double if not triple its donation to Hope this year.

“Hope Children’s Hospital was there for me and my family during our time of greatest need,” said Joe Aurelio, president and CEO of Aurelio’s Pizza. “They do so much good for so many children and their families.  It’s important to me that all of our Aurelio’s Pizza locations help raise awareness and funds to support their mission. This year, we wanted to build on our heritage of helping Hope Children’s Hospital by giving every Aurelio’s customer the chance to support by simply eating Aurelio’s Pizza. There’s no additional purchase, nothing to think about -- from October 22 through October 27 just dine-in, carry-out or order online or for delivery and you’re helping Hope. We’re really hoping our customers will come out in droves to support this wonderful pediatric hospital.”

About Aurelio’s

With a history as rich and entrenched in the community as the pizza it’s famous for, the very first Aurelio’s restaurant opened on Ridge Road in Homewood, IL as the pride and joy of Joseph A. Aurelio, Jr. who decided to give it a go as a restaurateur at the age of 26. With its legendary “old oven” dating back to 1959 in its Homewood location, Aurelio’s was a pioneer in the concept of the Family Pizzeria in the United States and helped to launch pizza into the American lexicon. Since that time, Aurelio’s has become one of Chicagoland’s claims to fame. And, transplanted Chicagoans all over the map have helped to bring their favorite pizzeria franchise to 43 cities across six states, growing a strong fan base for the taste of Aurelio’s. www.AureliosPizza.com
