Life Happens Laugh Anyway Comedy Event

Tracy DeGraaf, local author and stand-up comedienne, is on a mission to encourage women as she brings her comedy show to life. Southbridge Church in Orland Park will host DeGraaf’s Life Happens, Laugh Anyway, a 90-minute comedy event for women on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 7 p.m. at 15500 73rd Ave. The church is just north and west of Harlem and 159th St. Take Harlem north to Wheeler and go west. The church is on the north side of the street right next door to Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.

“I take the audience through the seasons of a woman’s life from getting married and having children to gaining weight and growing a beard,” DeGraaf said. “And then, they meet Jesus.” The show ends with a tug on heartstrings that has left audiences both laughing and crying.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Free cookies and coffee will be served before the show. An opportunity to get to know By Grace Boutique, Evilena's Red Dresser and the Chicago Christian Counseling Center will also be available. Seating is limited. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door, and $10 each for groups of 10 or more. Purchase tickets locally at Evilena’s Red Dresser, Evilena’s Red Dresser II (59 W. Bankview Dr. and 20887 S. LaGrange Rd) and at By Grace Boutique (67 W. Bankview Dr.) all in Frankfort, IL. Tickets may be purchased online at www.LaughAnywayMom.com. The show is open to all women ages 18 and up.
