St. John’s Youth Volunteer at Children’s Hunger Fund

St. John's Youth Volunteer at Children's Hunger Fund - On Saturday, November 23rd, several of St. John's youth and adults volunteered at the Children's Hunger Fund Toy Wrap in Homewood, IL.  Children's Hunger Fund is a Christian nonprofit organization that works to alleviate the suffering of children in impoverished regions across America and around the world.  Since CHF began in 1991, they have helped distribute more than $927 million in food and other resources to serve the needs of more than 10 million children in thirty-five U.S. states and seventy-two countries worldwide.  An average of 99% of their total contributions has been used for programs serving the needs of children.  Our group, along with 500 other volunteers, wrapped 18,000 Christmas toys that were sent all around the world this season.  Thank you to Claire Connors, Katie Connors, Maddi Stewart, Francesca Ciccarelli, Sedona Cady, Paige Schedin, Carly Collins, Jessica Sylvester, Meg Ciszek, Nancy Brosseau, Pam Schonwise, Moe Semmer, and Director of Youth Ministries, Elizabeth Hipp.
