Charity Dog Wash July 24 in Mokena

I’ll Be Doggone is having a dog wash fundraiser at their pet supply store in order to help raise money for Crossroads Shih Tzu Rescue.  Volunteers will wash and dry your dog while you wait, shop for supplies, or enjoy some delicious snacks provided by I’ll Be Doggone.

Those interested in bringing their dog for a wash and dry are encouraged to call I’ll Be Doggone at (708) 479-7730 to schedule an appointment as soon as possible.  This event will be held on Sunday July 24 from 10am to 3pm. Cost per dog is just $15, with $10 being donated to Crossroads Shih Tzu Rescue.  I’ll Be Doggone is located at 9620 Willow Lane, just one block west of LaGrange Road.

“Crossroads Shih Tzu Rescue is a small 501(c)3 federal nonprofit rescue dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of Shih Tzu, Shih Tzu mixes and other small nonshedding breed dogs who find themselves facing euthanasia in shelters, released from puppy mills and needing a new chance at life, and other dogs from unfortunate situations.

Those wishing to learn more about making a difference can fill out the Foster/Volunteer Application at www.crossroadsrescure.org and email it to: cstr.board@crossroadsrescue.org or fax it to (866) 796-6629.  In addition to needing loving foster homes, help is needed with fundraising, transporting, reference and home visits, and adoption events.  “One by one... until there are none.”
