Mokena School District 159 will host Kindergarten registration for the 2013-2014 year on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Registration will be held at Mokena Elementary School at: 11244 Willowcrest Lane in the Commons. Beginning at: 5:30-7:00pm Students last name A-K; 7:00 – 8:30 pm Students last name L-Z. Mokena School District 159 provides a half day kindergarten program. Families living on the East side of Wolf Road attend morning Kindergarten 8:55 to 11:35 am. Families living on the West side of Wolf Road attend afternoon Kindergarten 12:30 to 3:07pm.
Registration packets will be available for pickup at MES and the District Office beginning Friday, March 1st.
Parents will need to present an official birth certificate (with certification seal from the county). Students must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2013. If applicable, proof of legal custody would include presentation of a court order or decree for legal guardianship, proof of legal custody through public aid documents, or proof of foster care.
To prove residency, one document must be provided from Category 1 and two documents from Category 2. See the website www.mokena159.org for more details.
