JUSTICE SERVED: What Does the Death of Osama Bin Laden Mean to You?

The Forum gets the local perspective on the state, national and global issues that affect you.

It's a big world out there, and we know you're interested in what's happening on national and global level.

The Forum lets you express your opinions on those events and topics, as well as allowing you to discuss them with other Patch readers.

In an historic address, President Obama announced that Osama bin Laden was killed and that the United States has the body. This comes almost 10 years after 9/11 and eight years to the day after President George W. Bush's "mission accomplished" speech.

Today's topic:

How does this monumental development change your view on the war on terrorism? Is this a cause for celebration? Does this provides closure for you, the nation and the families of 9/11 victims? Are you worried about terrorist reprisals?

And what did you think of Obama's speech? Did it change your opinion of the president?

As always, please keep your comments respectful and civil. This can be a sensitive and emotionally charged topic. Being critical or disagreeing with one another doesn't mean you have to do it with a lack of class.

For the last 1400 years Islam has striven for world domination, it's not over till the Fat Lady in the Burqua sings. Qur'an 008.059 "The Infidels should not think that they can get away from us. Prepare against them whatever arms and weaponry you can muster so that you may terrorize them" Tabari 1X.69 "Killing disbelievers is a small matter to us" Tabari VIII:130 "The Messenger said, "Two religions cannot coexist in the Arabian Peninsula." Umar investigated the mater, then sent to the Jews, saying: "Allah has given permission for you to be expelled" Qur'an 004.089 "If they turn back from Islam, becoming renegades, seize them and kill them wherever you find them"
