I’ll NOT Have What She’s Having

A 21-year-old Mokena man told police an enraged woman smashed his windshield after suggesting to him he would enjoy snorting bath salts. The man was eating at a restaurant in the 9500 block of 191st Street at 2:15 a.m. when a group of people entered, police said. The man told police several in the group appeared intoxicated. A 21-year-old Frankfort woman, whom the man said he recognized from high school, then approached him and suggested he try bath salts. When he declined and started to leave, the woman got angry and banged on the windshield of his vehicle, shattering it. Police are investigating the alleged incident.

Stolen Jewelry Bartered for Gas, Smokes and Piercing

Danielle K. Bosshart, 19, 19504 S. 116th Avenue, was charged with theft about a week after she took gemstone jewelry belonging to her mother, police said. Over the course of a couple days beginning May 31, Bosshart allegedly took three necklaces, two pins and a ring—the estimated value totaling $675— and sold the items for cash which she then used to buy cigarettes, gas and a piercing for $75. Police are investigating the possibility that a second suspect helped Bosshart sell off the items at a Frankfort jewelry store.
