Ryan D. Whelehan, 30, of the 15900 block of Olcott Avenue in Tinley Park; Justin L. Ruzich, 28, of the 18800 block of Vanderbilt Drive in Mokena; and Matthew M. Ruzich, 30, also of the 18800 block of Vanderbilt Drive were charged with public intoxication after an incident at Chicago Blu on LaGrange Road. The Ruzich brothers also were charged with resisting/obstruction of a police officer.

The Ruzich brothers tried to take Whelehan away from the police, and Justin Ruzich shouted obscenities at the officers, Keegan said. Officers tried to cuff Justin, who ripped his arms away and walked off. After police were able to control Justin, Matthew Ruzich interfered. He was then cuffed, Keegan said.

Officers returned to Whelehan and told him he needed to find a way home, according to Keegan. Whelehan refused and began swearing at the officers, who handcuffed him, Keegan said. All three alleged offenders were brought to the Frankfort police station where they were charged. Justin Ruizch's court date is Nov. 10, and Matthew Ruzich's and Whelehan's court dates are Nov. 14.
