Car Reported Stolen: Mokena Police Blotter

Mokena police are investigating a stolen car report, and they earlier ticketed a Massachusetts man for a small amount of marijuana.

FRIDAY, FEB. 1

Possession of marijuana

Conor Davidson, 19, Andover, MA, was stopped with his hazard lights on at 191st Street and Grotovsky Drive, when police noticed the vehicle. As police questioned the driver about the problem, he said he was out of gas. However, police noted that there was a smell of marijuana and found a small amount, less than 12 grams, in the car. He was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug equipment. He posted a $750 I-Bond and was released.

A resident in the 10100 block of Kirkstone Way Court, reported a 2012 Ford Focus stolen. According to the report, police were called to the 10100 block of Cambridge Court, where the owner filed the complaint. She said the car had been stolen from the driveway. She further noted that it had been stolen and recovered before. 

Police are investigating the incident.

Driving on a suspended license

Chianita O'Neal, 31, of the 10500 block of Thornham Lane, was pulled over just after 11 p.m. at Darla Drive and 191st Street for a burned out headlight. Police discovered that she was also driving on a suspended license and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was ticketed for all three violations.
