Duo of Drug Arrests in New Lenox

A Walmart pharmacy employee gets nabbed for attempting to fill a false prescription.

A Walmart pharmacy employee was arrested Sept. 20 in the 500 block of Route 30 and charged with delivery/possession with intent to deliver.

According to Deputy Police Chief April DiSandro, Stephanie Lohenis, 28, of Crete, attempted to fill a false prescription for her husband. She allegedly attempted to obtain a prescription of Hydrocone by using another employee's log in number to process a verbal authorization for a prescription.

However, a staff member at the pharmacy discovered the fraud and refused to fill the order. Lohenis was charged with delivery/possession with intent to deliver. She posted bond and was released.

Video game theft turns into drug charge too

Talvaldis Kalnins, 19, of the 1200 block of Edmonds Avenue, was arrested Sept. 17 in the 500 block of E. Route 30. According to the report, Walmart security staff spotted Kalnins attempting to leave the store without paying for a video game.

While searching him, police allegedly discovered that he was carrying marijuana and several pills, which were identified as Clonazepan, a controlled substance.

Kalnins was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and retail theft. He was taken to Will County Jail.

The blotter information is provided by law enforcement agencies. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions taken on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. I appreciate your comments about the Walmart pharmacy employee. Since this individual was not charged with a felony, there is no mug shot.

Thanks for the clarification, Ms. Piasecki. I have always wondered why some mug shots appear and others do not.

this is the person pictured here, and might i say, i was not CONVICTED of that arrest so therefore i'd appreciate you people not slandering my name anymore, and taking this down. Somehow I feel like I can take legal action against these kinds of posts especially knowing that the crime ended up with no conviction. The New Lenox Patriot is 100% for slander and gossip. If only for one day, you people had it turned around on you and everyone got to bash YOU anonymously through a computer screen, you would understand what you are doing. The funniest part of this all is that the people who really take the time to troll this website, seeking for things to complain about, in person would NOT in a million years have the guts or the self respect to say the things they can say while hiding behind a nickname and a computer screen.
