Fire Protection District to Offer Stroke Awareness Luncheons

On May 14, the Mokena Fire Protection District will offer two luncheons entitled "Explaining STROKE," which will be free to attend

May is National Stroke Awareness Month and the isn't taking that lightly.

On May 14, the fire protection district will offer “Explaining STROKE,” two free senior luncheons at Mokena Fire Station #1, 19583 S. Wolf Road.

The luncheons, which will be held at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., are free to attend and will offer insight into the warning signs of a stroke and tips on stroke prevention.
