Preliminary investigation results indicate the truck was in the far right lane of westbound 1-80 when it collided with the motorcycle as it was entering the

interstate from the southbound Harlem Avenue ramp at about 6:25 p.m.,
Rivera said.

It is not yet known if the motorcycle driver misjudged his speed or the distance, but the bike struck the right, front corner of the semi, causing the driver to lose control, he said.

No charges had been filed or tickets issued as of Saturday, July 13.

The crash forced one lane of westbound I-80 to be closed until about 9 p.m. Saturday.
