A suspicious man in Orland Hills leads cops on a footchase, gets shot with a Taser, then gets up and keeps running.
Police are investigating a 33-year-old Mokena man accused of resisting arrest and harboring herion and drug paraphernalia.
Police said they were patrolling 161st Street and Haven Avenue around 10:30 p.m. on April 28 when they saw a man pacing back and forth in the middle of the street. In his pockets, police found a small bag of heroin and a 3-to-4-inch plastic straw used for narcotics, according to police.
When police went to make an arrest, the man broke free and ran into a residential area, toward a 6-foot chain link fence. As he climbed the fence, police fired a Taser shot, striking him in the back and causing him to fall to the ground on the opposite side of the fence, according to the report.
