Mokena Police Reports, April 27-28

THURSDAY, APRIL 28

Jaguar Stolen

A 1998 Jaguar was reported stolen from Lars Worldwide Automotive, 8431 W. 191 St., in the overnight hours of April 27 to April 28. The car was towed to the auto shop because the owner said that it wouldn't start. The business owner said that the keys were left in the car. The car's owner reported the Jaguar stolen. There are no suspects at this time.

Taking a Swing at a Car

While parked in the 11200th block of West 94th Avenue, a witness saw a person stop his car, get out near another car, walk around with a baseball bat, and act suspiciously. The witness notified the second car's owner, an employee of Ed and Joe's Pizzeria, who reported damage to the rear of his Cadillac, just above the driver's side wheel well. Police have a suspect, according to the report.

THURSDAY, APRIL 27

Fraudulent Prescription Suspected

Someone dropped off a prescription at the CVS Pharmacy, 19900 S. LaGrange Road, for two controlled substances. The pharmacist on duty called the listed doctor to find that he did not have a patient of the name provided, nor did he ever prescribe the medications listed. The pharmacist notified Mokena police, according to the report. No arrests were made, but the police requested to be notified when the prescription is picked up.

Warrant Executed

Danielle L. Jaco, 23, of the 1500th block of Lake Street in Dyer, IN, was arrested on a warrant in Cook County. While on patrol, an officer saw two people arguing at the Shell station at 19100 S. LaGrange Road. When confronting the couple, they told the officer they were on their way to Indiana and were lost. When doing a name check, he found that Jaco had a warrant for her arrest on a prostitution charge. She was taken to Will County Jail.

Criminal Damage, Drugs

Isaac J Kruspe, 17, of the 11600th block of Stephanie Lane in Mokena, was arrested and charged with criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct and possession of drug equipment. Police were called to the home in reference to an out-of-control person who was arguing with a woman over a cell phone. According to the report, he punched holes in the drywall. The officer came to his room and saw bags of what the officer believed to be cannabis out in the open, and Kruspe had two pipes in his possession. He was released on a $750 I-Bond.
