Mokena police reports, Nov. 4-13

SUNDAY, NOV. 13

Wrong Turns

Adam P. Siera, 24, of the 3100 block of Jacob Street in Hamtramck, MI, was charged with driving under the influence, operation of uninsured motor vehicle, improper turn and improper u-turn. Police said they stopped Siera’s car in the 18700 block of LaGrange Road around 1:45 a.m. for making an illegal u-turn and then making a left into the wrong lane. He was arrested after failing a Breathalyzer exam, according to the report. 

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 9

Asleep at the Wheel

Jesus Sanchez, 59, of the 3000 block of 21st Place in Chicago, was charged with DUI and operation on uninsured motor vehicle. Police said they approached Sanchez’s parked car in the 10800 block of 187th Street shortly after midnight and found him asleep at the wheel, surrounded several open cans of beer, with front-end damage to his car. He was arrested after failing a Breathalyzer exam, according to the report.

Open Wine

Christine Noonan, 49, of the 7600 block of Thistlewood Lane in Frankfort, was charged with DUI, resisting a peace officer and improper lane usage. Police said they stopped Noonan in the 8700 block of 191st Street around 5:45 p.m. for swerving and found open six-ounce bottles of wine. She failed field sobriety tests and repeatedly pulled her arms away as an officer tried to arrest her, according to the report.

MONDAY, NOV. 7

DUI

James M. Henry, 23, of the 20100 block of Pine Hill Road in Frankfort, was charged with DUI, improper lane usage and operating uninsured motor vehicle. Police said they stopped Henry’s car in the 19200 block of 88th Avenue around 1 a.m. for swerving repeatedly between lanes. He failed field sobriety tests, according to the report.

SUNDAY, NOV. 6

Open Vodka

Adam D. Fieldler, 28, of the 22400 block of Aster Drive in Frankfort, was charged with DUI, operation of uninsured motor vehicle, speeding and illegal transportation of alcohol. Police said they stopped Fieldler’s car near Wolf Road and Marilyn Way around 5:30 p.m. for driving 60 in a 40 mph zone and weaving inside its lane. He was arrested after police found bottles of vodka "in plain view," and he refused field sobriety tests, according to the report.

Open Beer

Ross A. Majchrowski, 19, of the 20000 block of Mallory Drive in Frankfort, was charged with DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, operation of uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage and disobeyed stop sign. Police said they stopped Majchrowski’s car near Francis Road and Frontage Road around 11:30 p.m. for rolling through a stop sign. He failed field sobriety tests, and officers found open cans of beer in his car, according to the report.

SATURDAY, NOV. 5

So, I'm Not the Chief's Daughter?

Julie M. Schultz, 45, of the 20700 block of 84th Avenue in Frankfort, was charged with DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol and speeding. Police said they stopped Schultz’s car in the 9000 block of 191st Street around 2 a.m. for driving 59 in a 45 mph zone. When asked for her license and insurance, Schultz allegedly told an officer that her father is “Kevin Kelly the chief of police in Tinley Park.” Sometime after explaining that Tinley Park Police do not currently have a chief, the officer walked Schultz through field sobriety tests, which she failed, according to the report.

Police said they found an open bottle of vodka on the passenger seat, which Schultz alleged belonged to a friend.

FRIDAY, NOV. 4

Off Road

Rima Liaudanskiene, 38, of the 16800 block of Highview Avenue in Orland Hills, was charged with DUI, resisting arrest, drove off roadway, illegal transportation of alcohol and unsafe opening of door. Police said they found Liaudanskiene’s car in the 20000 block of Wolf Road around 9 p.m. after witnesses told them she had almost struck another car head on, drove over a parking block, hit a handicapped sign, slid down a grass embankment, and scraped the mirror of a park car. She failed field sobriety tests, and when asked if she had driven into the embankment she allegedly said, “Yea, so what?” according to police.

Police said they found a coffee mug in her car that smelled of alcohol.

She cursed out the officers and tensed her body and fingers during the arrest and booking, according to the report.
